Our experienced and well-qualified team consists of drivers guides, mechanics, camps and lodges staff, cooks, waiters, assistants, supply drivers, mountain guides, administrative staff, accountants, operations, logistics, gardeners, managers … - totaling some 350 people and their "esprit de corps". Combined with an efficient approach, all contribute to the success of each safari. A collection of superbly-sited wilderness properties, from the simple and adventurous bivouac camp to high level permanent camps or lodges (Grumeti Hills and Bashay Rift lodge), offer our guests guaranteed quality and efficient rates in the most alluring areas of Northern, Tanzania. Our fleet of 90 vehicles maintained to the highest standards forms a major part of our logistics.
All these resources can be called to guarantee the best possible organization of your safari.

The fleet consists of regularly renovated 4x4s with custom configurations and seats. We have selected the best vehicles to meet the needs of each safari. The vehicles are driven by a team of qualified and courteous driver-guides who speak several languages (English, French, Italian, German, Spanish). These competent and attentive Tanzanians take great pride in showing you their land. Beautiful memories and an unforgettable experiences are waiting for you...
In addition to this fleet, we are also proud to be the first company in East Africa to operate electric cars (2 in 2018 and 7 in 2019). This new technology is a real "plus" for the safari and creates a complete new safari experience (no noise, no smell, no disturbance to the wildlife).

On request, bivouacs can be organised for groups and individuals. They are comfortable, welcoming and offer a truly authentic and fascinating bush experience, especially during African sunsets and at nightfall.

Tanganyika likes to offer its clients different meal formats: From simple picnics at lunchtime or Bush lunches served at the table to breakfasts or dinners served in the bush. We use our own bases ideally spread throughout the northern region.

Whether in the heart of the bush or at the beach on Zanzibar, we offer a variety of original and authentic themed evenings, meeting our incentive clientele's expectations.

Tanzania is an excellent hiking destination (Kilimanjaro, Mount Meru, Oldonyo Lengai...). Safety and reliability will always be our top priority, our team of guides and porters can accompany those who wish to measure themselves against the top of these legendary mountains.

Over the years, Tanganyika has developed solid logistics which give the company a definite edge when handling large groups or demanding individuals. Thanks to our 24/7 operations in Arusha, our guests are constantly monitored and our staff always available whenever needed.

Although the main objective of our clients is the safari, some may want to add a few extra activities to their trip. In addition to the regular land safaris, Tanganyika can also organize the following activities: night safaris, hiking (1 hour to several days), mountain biking, horseback safaris, canoeing and kayaking. All these activities often take place in an environment surrounded by abundant wildlife.
